The poster session is open to both high school and college/university students and will be held in the afternoon (2:00-3:30 pm) of the second day of the Sustainability Conference (11/14). The posters will be displayed on easels around the periphery of the Selby Auditorium at USF, which is the conference venue for oral presentations, so the posters will need to be erected before the start of the morning session at 9:00 am, at the break at 10:30 am or during the lunch hour, 12:00-1:00 pm on 11/14.
Please bring easels for display of your posters. Depending on the turnout, we may be displaying some posters in the hallways which would give more flexibility of set-up times. Students should bring a lunch if the plan to attend the conference through the lunch hour.
The Posters can be on any subject related to Sustainability and provide a great way for students to demonstrate their projects, passions and special interests related to Sustainability. The poster preparation could be a part of a classroom project and could be in any form, from a set of 8.5"x11" sheets on poster board to more elaborate powerpoint generated posters.
The standard poster has dimensions of width 48”, height 36” but this is not a hard rule. For information on poster preparation, with specific information on how to create a powerpoint poster, visit the following website:
There are also some nice examples of posters created by other students on the website.
Students and teachers should contact Dr. Raymond Young, Conference Chair, at aloharay4@gmail.com, to reserve space for a poster and register for the conference.
